Friendly Metals is a small metalworking business in Red Hook, Brooklyn. They provide welding, cutting, and fabrication design; and the owner is also an artist who creates large and small-scale metal-based sculptures. The main goal of this project was to digitize and refine their current logo. In addition to retouching their logo, I made a small graphic detail that serves as an avatar of the main logo. The logo's aesthetic and the small graphic align with the owner's original approach to the design. They wanted to maintain a handmade look achieved by roughening the edges and using irregular letterforms. Finally, they wanted the logo to have a friendly aura. The simple, innocent illustration style and the rounded corners throughout help create this feeling
